My mobile phone; past, present & future
First mobile with a little antenna was a Motorola (well I do not remember the model name), then a Moto C330, SE T110, now a Phillips Fisio 860, for over 3 years now.
Now the market is full of models A-Z, how do I go about one?
Here are some points which will decide my next phone, but I don’t know when
After seeing it all, I got a feeling to wait for the next one
I like my next phone to have ….
Physical Features
* Under INR 5K is ideal, 10K is ok?
* Handy and easy to use, safe in handling
* Less weight, under 100g is must
* Durable cover with anti-slip grip
* Good pouch and neck strap
Technical Features
* Quad band is a better idea
* Mechanism for radiation shield, clam shell foldiing ones are better
* USB charger is good
* Travel charger is convenient
* In-Flight Mode for non network related phone features
Display
* 256K colors is bare minimum
* Practically usable display dimension
* Good day/night visibility & accessibility for display
* Customizable themes/interface
Audio
* Polyphonic is must
* Stereo mp3 & recordable ring tones are must
* Call Conversation Recording is must
* Stereo FM is a big yes
* FM Recording is good (Live FM Recording and Schedule FM Recording)
* Audio recording & playback in mp3 is must, wma is optional
* Flight mode for using non-network features like media player etc..
Camera
* Camera with flash and 2MP (1600X1200) is minimum acceptable
* 25fps Movie with sound recording is cool. MP4 recording & playback is great
* Independent flash or led can double up as torch light
* Built-in flashlight, lantern
* Internal Modem is good for net connectivity from desktop
* Hands free speaker phone is must
PC, storage and connectivity
* High speed data network: GPRS, EDGE are must WLAN and HSCSD are optional

can you please advice me how I can use the opera mini in my mobile.Its SAMSUNG D500 .and although I have already download and installed the Opera mini software I always get an specified error message that simply “an error occured”…I have an IDEA connection.ploz advise

I landed up here after following you via the INDICA XETA way..as I planned to buy one.
Do check your Internet access profile/settings for JAVA. Wap is configured? Are you able to access net from other applications, like gmail etc.?
